Why is Leadership in Pathfinding important?
With so much uncertainty and constant changes, it has become necessary to learn how to navigate through the changed landscape with confidence. Pathfinders are able to discover and find new paths during times when none is available.
We also need these skills to create for new sources of innovation.
Leaders in Pathfinding will be at the forefront in creating new vistas of value and building capabilities for the future. They are willing to to act in the face of the unknown.
Pathfinding is about finding your own vision, seeing a new future, walking that path and demonstrating to others how such a new world can be achieved.
Leadership skills for Pathfinders
These are some of the skills you learn when you embark on a Pathfinder programme
- Visioning – the ability to shift personal and other’s attention to a new exciting destination to discover potential new realities and possibilities and value
- How to manufacture these new realities even in uncertain times
- Agility – knowing how to act in the moment through Discovery, Choose, Act
- How to improve your focus and concentration
- How to “see differently” – noticing what others cannot yet see
- How you can get others to also “see differently”
- Engaging and focusing the attention of others, such as employees, customers and diverse stakeholders on these new possibilities and gaining their support and resources in making it happen

There are four Pathfinder programs
- Discovery Workshop (2 to 4 hours) – Introduction to Pathfinder
- Stopping and Seeing Training (5 sessions of 4 hours each) (Foundational program)
- Explorer: Journey of the Gates (10 sessions of 4 hours each) (Mastery program)
- Trailblazer (Completed as part of the Vision Quest) (Vision Questing)
